Our team of engineers and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) professionals work together to identify energy loss and imminent system failure in vacuum systems, gas and liquid delivery systems, storage vessels, electrical systems, and other process equipment. The Leak Finder group has worked extensively in the synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing industry, vertical markets utilizing hydrogen, and vertical markets utilizing sulfur recovery units, steam, and hazardous pollutants. Leak Finder engineers utilize advanced techniques to identify above grade corrosion under insulation (CUI), hazardous chemical pipeline leaks, and subsurface leaks involving process water, potable water, and fire suppression water systems.

Sulfur Recovery Units and Flare Systems

Leak Finder team members are experienced at non-destructive testing (NDT) of sulfur recovery units and flare systems. Our team has provided surveys that include evaluation of PSV’s, refractory, and mechanical components to comply with regulations for onshore natural gas processing plants regulated under NSPS Subpart LLL.

Hydrogen Processes

Leak Finder staff are experienced at risk assessment and non-destructive testing (NDT) of hydrogen systems, and utilize a multi technology approach that includes Shear Wave Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) technology, traditional ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements of identified pipeline defects, Leak Finder with passive infrared thermography, and real time monitoring with a portable hydrogen/helium detector.

Leak Finder specializes in NDT related to regulations promulgated by The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) such as:

  • New source performance standard for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
  • New source performance standard for sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Air toxics standard for oil and natural gas production
  • Air toxics standard for natural gas transmission and storage
